Postage & Delivery

Once your order has been received, it will be packed and sent within 5 working days. The delivery time is extra to the packing time.
Orders are shipped from Sydney, Australia using Australia Post OR Fastway Couriers. Fastway Couriers do not deliver to all locations in Australia. If Fastway Couriers do not deliver to your area, Australia Post will be used.
Shipping and handling costs are based on the total cost and weight/bulk of your order. The method of shipping is selected during checkout.
Postage & handling within Australia
I use a combination of Fastway Couriers and Australia Post to send Ribbons Galore orders. Fastway Couriers do not deliver to all locations in Australia. If Fastway Couriers do not deliver to your area or you have supplied a PO Box as your shipping address, Australia Post will be used.
The following three postal options are available:
Regular (Fastway Couriers OR Australia Post regular postage and handling option):
All orders will be sent by either Fastway Couriers parcel OR Australia Post Parcel Post parcel. Postage/shipping costs STARTS FROM $8.00. This service includes proof of postage/shipping and a traceable number which can be tracked on the Australia Post website or the Fastway Courier website. You will be advised when your order has been sent which service has been used and you will be sent the tracking number.
Registered (postal/shipping option):
The registered postal/shipping option provides you an article number which gives access to parcel tracking. This option is highly recommended as your parcel will be TRACKABLE and provides INSURANCE if your parcel goes missing during delivery. Please note, ‘authority to leave’ your parcel is not an option as a signature on delivery is required.
Express (Priority packing & posting [with Express Post delivery] option):
This is not a guarenteed overnight delivery service. If your order is urgent we offer a priority packing and posting service. Your order will be packed by the following business day and posted using Australia Post Express Post service.
Please note: if your order is urgent it would be best to pay with a credit card or by PayPal. There is usually a waiting period in receiving funds by EFT which will delay your order being sent to you quickly.
Incorrect postal details
Please note that any mistakes on your postal address may delay delivery of your parcel. Some common errors can include:
- using an old address (not updated in your account settings),
- wrong postcodes (using the postcode from your home address for your delivery address to a work place),
- not including a Company name if you are sending to your work address.
If a parcel is returned to Ribbons Galore undeliverable, you will be asked to pay another postage charge and to provide an accurate postal address. An unpacking fee (20% of your order total) will be charged if you decide you no longer wish to keep your order.
International postage & handling
We will post internationally using Australia Post Airmail service.
Once you have completed checkout (paid for the products in your shopping cart), the postage and handling will be calculated and an email will be sent to you separately. This email will have a link to PayPal for you to complete the payment for your postage.
Orders sent overseas will now only be sent with traceable/tracking numbers. If you would like insurance and a signature on delivery, please leave a message in the comments field of your order and this will be calculated once your order has been packed.
Postage and handling will be based on the cost and weight/bulk of your order, plus a PayPal handling fee.
Below are examples of postage costs:
An order which totals up to $100.00 (weighing up to 500 grams) using Australia Post Standard air mail service will cost approximately (insurance and signature on delivery options are extra costs to those below):
- $22.00 to New Zealand;
- $25.00 to the US and Canada;
- $30.00 to the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
- $32.00 to Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Malta, Russian Federation, Poland and South Africa.
The customer, not Ribbons Galore, is responsible for paying any import duties or taxes and associated fees on orders when you import into your country. Please check your country’s import regulations for details.
